Join us on October 24 to hear about the population growth and the increasing geographical diversity of the Old Order Mennonites and Markham Waterloo Mennonites since the 1960s as rising land prices and the pressure of urbanization have caused these "plain people" to search for new territories as their populations have grown.

The presentations will include:

Clare Frey, “Adapting to new challenges." Clare is a minister in the Markham Waterloo Mennonite Conference, and writes historical articles for the Church Correspondent.

Amsey Martin,  “Maintaining community in new locations.”  Amsey is a deacon in the Old Order Mennonite Church, and a teacher in their parochial school system. He is also a publisher for books for the Old Order community, including story books that reinforce Old Order values, as well as some history books.

No pre-registration is required; an offering will be lifted to help with expenses.
